Can a 6-Year Old Drive Better Than You?

Rashid al-Dhaheri is a 6 year-old driving sensation out of the United Arab Emirates.  He is his nation’s best driver and is becoming very well known.  In the article writer Sam Borden explains how this young kid is going to be the next racing great out of the United Arab Emirates.  But is t fair to say that he will be?  He is only 6-years old, and I believe that he won’t become the next start.  It’s not like he is even driving a real car, he drives a go-kart.  Driving a real car that goes faster than 40 mph is actually very hard and takes a lot of mental and physical strength.  I know that I am being brutally honest here but when was the last time you heard of a professional driver coming from the United Arab Emirates.  It’s not a country known for their drivers and to predict that a kid will become the next big thing seems a bit absurd.  “He has been driving for half of his life” says his father, but he is only six so if he can have such great skills after only driving for three years I’m sure many other kids could have the same.  Not trying to wreck his dreams, but this is how I feel about this article.

  1. He can't bee the best driver in the region he is only six and its a go cart, its really not that hard to drive a go cart, and if you base driving skill off how people drive a go cart then that's a problem all together. It's called NASCAR, not NASCART, wait until he is in the teenage years before you start declaring him one of the best drivers out there.
