U.S. and Cuba Friends Again?
Recently in an article published by New York Times, U.S. to Restore Full Relations With Cuba, Erasing a Last Trace of Cold War Hostility, author Peter Baker explores how Obama has ordered the restoration of full diplomatic relations with Cuba. He also mentions how the U.S. is planning on opening an embassy in Havana for the first time in more than half a century. It will be interesting to see what will happen from this. I bet things will be good for a while until something involving drug smuggling will occur and possibly the U.S. relation with Cuban will go sour.

I think that a healthy relationship between Cuba and the US will take a long time to establish. With midterm elections bring a majority Republican congress the chances of removing the embargo set on Cuba is low at best. Even though Cuba is stilt ruled by a Communist dictator the real winner of a healthy relationship between the US and Cuba will be Cuban citizens. Most citizen of cuban have very few rights and if the embargo is removed then American culture could influence an uprising to remove Castro from power.
