9/11 post

Louis Sullivan
9/11 My article

The terror attacks of 9/11 devastated the families of victims and shocked the nation. The US had not been attacked on home soil since 1941 when Japan attacked the Hawaiian port, Pearle harbor. Like the attack on Pearle harbor the US scrambled to figure out the motives and the terrorist, then swiftly declaring war on them. The aftermath of 9/11 not only changed the lives of families who had victims in the tragedy but also military families. America was going to war. And those who had joined the military during peace time would now be fighting in Afghanistan or Iraq. Thousands of enlisted soldiers were now being sent off to a land they could barely find on a map to fight against an enemy that wasn’t part of a nation.
