9/11 was the darkest day in American history. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives that day, to a group of cowardly terrorists. America was in shock that day, nothing like this had ever happened before. The destruction was even greater than the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. But America pulled through stronger than ever. Although there were mistakes on the way, America showed that we are willing to fight for freedom. This symbol of freedom is captured in the new Freedom Towers. These towers occupy the same grounds that saw the most horrific destruction 13 years ago. The new towers shine taller than all buildings on Manhattan Island. The seen is a view to everyone that the United States of America will fight for the freedom and liberty for everyone across the world. Although we did lose a lot that day America has persevered through the tough times to become a strong nation.
