The Super bowl is the most watched event
in TV history and the real moneymaker for NFL executives and players. Companies
pay top dollar to run a short pitch over the break of half time, time outs, and
between quarters. No stops are left out when big money is on the line and
companies choreograph their commercials down to the wire. The expectation
for high quality commercials has produced a great environment for Superbowl
commercial to grow a brand. Super bowl commercials are always the most
anticipated commercials of the years and with all the press in the world
covering the super bowl, the commercials get tons of free publicity if they
catch the eye of the viewers.
One of the most controversial super bowl commercial
this year was the Fiat Blue Pill Ad. Though the erectile dysfunction (blue
pill) ad is nothing new to being broadcasted alongside the male dominated
sports, it was unusual for a car company to use the pill to show how there new
car has increased in size.
